Valentine Crafts
A creative artistic personalized homemade gift and
card is always the most treasured one too because of all the time and
efforts, one has devoted to it. Valentine parties and activities held in
school parties for kids often introduce interesting craft ideas to
little children to keep them busy and active. Toddlers love to make
something new for their mommy, daddy, grandma and grandpa when they are
appreciated for their efforts and Valentine's Day is a perfect day to
give a boost to the artist in them. Here are some easy craft ideas that
you and your kids can try on this Valentine Day:
- A fantastic idea to gift to your beloved is to cut out a heart
out of a thick cardboard and cut it into pieces like a jigsaw
puzzle. Cover all the pieces with red glitter and your 'Jigsaw Heart
Puzzle' is ready. Pack it in a beautifully decorated shoebox with a
note that says, "My heart has gone to pieces without you. Help
me to rearrange it, please."
- Kids will simply love to make the lollipop plant as a Valentine
gift for their teachers, parents, grandparents or friends. It is
inexpensive and easy-to-make too. All you need is some Styrofoam
cups, paints, brush and lots of lollipops (preferably heart-shaped),
gum, marker and glitter. Paint and decorate your Styrofoam cups in
red color and use glitter to decorate it. Inscribe "I Love You"
on it for giving it a Valentine touch. Now arrange lots of lollipops
in your Valentine vase and make the day sweet for anyone you gift it
to. You can decorate your class with entire lollipop garden on
Valentine too.
- Take a small clay pot. Cut one end of a small Styrofoam ball to
make it flat to be used as the base and keep it in the clay pot.
Take any inexpensive ballpoint pen and cover it with green floral
tape, leaving just the nib end of the pen. Insert the nib end into
the Styrofoam ball, deep enough to hold in the upright position.
Attach an artificial rose to the other end of the pen. When you will
gift this Valentine Rose Pen, people will think it to be an
artificial rose but they will be pleasantly surprised to find a pen
wrapped so well inside the rose.
- Decorate a cookie box with cutout hearts, glittering confetti,
stickers, drawings, candies, photos of your friend and old greeting
card to make a special Valentine greeting box that will cheer the
receiver in a jiffy.
- Take a small mirror and attach it to the inside of a plain white
card, big enough to hold the mirror. Make a crown or tiara at the
top of the mirror. On the outside cover, write with a marker "Open
to see the Queen/King of this Valentine". When the person will
open the card, they will be happy to see their own reflection in the
mirror crowned by you.
