Witch House Cake

Halloween Cake
- 5 Eggs Yolks
- 2 ½ cups Sugar
- 5 cups Flour (all purpose)
- 4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 ½ cups Melted Butter
- 3 cups Milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 6 oz Unsweetened Chocolate, melted
For Chocolate Mud Frosting
- 2/3rd cup Cocoa Butter
- 2 cups Melted Butter (unsalted)
- 4 oz Unsweetened Chocolate, melted
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 5 to 6 tbsp Milk
For Decorations
- Green Gumdrops
- Chocolate Ice-cream Cones
- Chocolate Crackers
- Chocolate Kisses
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Chocolate-covered Raisins
- Orange Frosting
- Black Licorice Twists

Instructions
- Using an electric mixer, blend the butter and sugar till they are nice and creamy. Then, add in the eggs and continue the mixing. Once done, pour in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract, along with the milk.
- In a mixing bowl, whip together the butter mixture, flour, baking soda and salt.
- Pre-heat the oven to about 350°.
- Now, gradually pour the mixture into a greased 6 inch loaf pan, an 8 inch oven proof bowl and a 13X9X2 inch pan, filling them till 2/3rd level. The latter two is baked for a total of about 50 minutes to 1 hour while the loaf-pan for a total of 35 to 40 minutes. Once completely bakes. Allow all here top cool for some time.
- For making the frosting, blend the butter, vanilla extract and melted chocolate in the electric mixer. In a separate bowl, mix the butter mixture with cocoa butter and sugar. Once this is done, add enough milk to form a paste for the frosting.
- To create the graveyard image, first place the 13X9X2 inch cake on top of a large piece of cardboard. Then, place the bowl-shaped cake on one end, to create the ‘hill’. This being done; cut a 2 X3 rectangle (about 1 inch deep) on top of the hill. This is to accommodate the house.
- Now, for the roof of the Witch’s house, trim the corners off one end of the small loaf cake. Place the house over the space made on top of the hill. Secure the setup by using toothpicks. Then, add in the orange frosting.
- For the tiles of the house, use the chocolate graham crackers and frosting. The windows will be made of broken chocolate cones, with orange icing grids and there will be a peanut cookie door, along with a candy doorknob.
- You can also make a witch by using a toothpick, a chocolate kiss for a hat and a gum-drop for her face. Another option is to create a graveyard by using the licorice, peanut cookies, mini chocolate chips and the raisins.

- Knife, to trace around the stencil
- White Frosting, to fill the stenciled area

Instructions
- In the pan, put the cake mixture and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Once done, allow it to cool for some time. This forms the base of the decoration. Place it over the cardboard base.
- Next, frost the cake. Once done, lightly place the stencil over the base and trace around the inside of the stencil. Then, fill the entire outlined area with white frosting. You can also use confectioner’s sugar in its place.
- Now, carefully remove the stencil and pine the frosting in the outlined areas, by making use of the pastry bag.
- The remaining decorations, like the coins and figurines, can be added as your desire.
