Teacher's Day is a special occasion for students to celebrate and pay respect to their teachers. Traditionally, Teacher's Day is celebrated on the 5th of October annually. - Traditionally, the Teacher’s Day program starts off by greeting the teachers and a Teacher’s Day speech. Students commence the grand event with inaugural cultural dances/songs to entertain the teachers. The presentation of cultural programs includes plays, skits, songs and dance performances.
- During the cultural show, students serve snacks of different varieties for their teachers. Snacks may include French Fries, Chaat (Indian fast food), sliders, Nuggets and Rolls. Snacks are often accompanied by beverages such as tea, coffee, soft drinks and fruit juices. You can also include pastries, sweets and cupcakes if you have the time.
- In the afternoon, an elaborate luncheon will be served for all the teachers and students. ensure that the menu includes the best of all cuisines and that it caters to all palates. The feast should ideally begin with starters/ hors d’oeuvres of at least three to four varieties. Try and include chilly potatoes, sausages, cheese dips, tortilla rolls, spring rolls, potato finger chips, salted peanuts, non-vegetarian/vegetarian kebabs, doughnuts, cottage cheese bites, etc.
- For the main course, opt for different cuisines. A few choices are pastas, noodles, baked shrimp, fried rice, chicken biryani (Spicy Indian rice), scallops, stews, salads, vegetable curries and plain rice. Remember to strike a balane between vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
- After the main course, desserts should be served. Desserts may include pastries, ice creams in different flavors such as strawberry, butter scotch, plain vanilla, chocolate, almond, mango and blueberry.
