- 3 cups Frozen Tart Cherries
- 1-cup Coarse Sugar
- 2 tbsp Quick-cooking Tapioca
- 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
- Two-crust Pie Pastry, for 9-inch pie
- 2 tbsp Butter or Margarine
Instructions
- In a medium size bowl, mix cherries, coarse sugar, tapioca and almond extract. It is not necessary to defrost cherries before mixing.
- Let the mixture stand for 15 minutes. Fill the mixture in a 9-inch pie plate that is lined with pastry.
- Put a bit of butter on top of the mixture.
- Preheat in an oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
