Russian Pattice
- 500 g Potatoes
- 250 g boneless Chicken
- 100 g Cheese (grated)
- 5 Green Chilies
- 2 tsp Butter
- 2 Eggs (whipped)
- 250 g Rice Flour
- Salt (to taste)
- Oil (for frying)
Procedure
- Boil the chicken and shred it. Set aside.
- Boil the potatoes and mash them.
- Chop the green chilies finely.
- Take a large mixing bowl and combine together potatoes, chicken, cheese, green chilies, butter and salt. Mix well to form smooth dough.
- Divide the mixture into small round palm sized balls.
- Roll each ball into eggs and then into rice flour.
- Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Deep fry the balls till they turn golden brown.
- Remove and transfer to paper towels to drain the excess oil.
- Serve hot with assorted dips.
