January 26th is one of the most remarkable days in the history of India and for all Indians. On this very special day in 1950, our constitution and our motherland became a totally sovereign, democratic and republic state. The day is honored with great respect and celebrated with immense zeal, fervor and grandeur. While the main event takes place at the Rajpath at India Gate in the capital of New Delhi, other states carry out their individual flag hoisting ceremonies.
