Grandparents Day Craft Ideas
- Card Stock or Construction Paper
- Markers or Crayons
- Pinking Shears or Scissors
- Googly Eyes and Glue (optional)
Instructions
- Start off by drawing the outline of a cat on folder card stock or construction paper. The kid's drawing skills will be tested here. Here, you will have to make it a point to ensure that the tails and both the ears of the cat extend to the fold and go on until it measures to at least a quarter of an inch. The extension will help make for the front and back of the card, which ultimately should be attached to each other.
- Now, proceed to cut out the cat and make sure the areas that surround the fold are left uncut. This again will help in the attaching of the front and the back of the card.
- There you go, its done now. Put a face on your cat and if you are willing to go that extra mile, glue googly eyes onto the cat. This is what will help give the cat a more 'life-like' look.
- With the above step done with, a very thoughtful message can be written out. The card can be then handed over to whom so ever it was created for, grandparents in this case.
Tough Teeth

You Will Need
- Colored Paper
- Scotch Tape
- Small Glass Jars
- Scotch Tape
- Tooth (preferably the kid's)
- Waxed Linen Thread
- Adhesive Labels
Instructions
- Don't be too scared, this one does not require a kid to knock his teeth out. Instead of donating fallen teeth to the tooth fairy, the kid in question can use it as a great present for his grandparents.
- Start off by cutting the paper into a strip that measures to about ½ an inch shorter than the vial and just about 6 inches wide. The strip can be made a little wider, if there is more than one tooth involved.
- With a pen, on the paper, write down details of the tooth. The details can include time of loss, place of loss, kid's age and anything else that you think should be included or not excluded.
- With this done, you can proceed to tape the tooth or the tooth, if that is the case, to the paper. The tooth can be stuck close to the details that revolve around it. Once done, proceed to roll the paper into a scroll. The paper should be rolled in way that will help it fit inside the vial; it can then be tied with a thread or a yarn. Go ahead and drop the scroll into the vial.
- The child's name can be written on the adhesive label and then stuck on to the vial. The gift is ready; your kid can go ahead and present it!
There you go, just like that, two great craft ideas for your kid to work on. You can be rest assured that this will help the kid's grandparents feel all that more good about themselves and their grandkid!
